Apple working on under-screen Face ID for iPhone 14: analyst

The biggest ever redesign we saw last time was with the launch of iPhone X. Even though iPhone 12 series got a redesign too but not a huge one. The next-generation iPhone 14 however will be so different that it will not even resemble the notch iPhones at all. Say Hi, to a punch hole cutout, similar to most of androids.

But the biggest question is where Face-ID? There’s two things can happen. One it’s under the display or it’s not gonna be there at All.

Now Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) has something to tell.

2022 iPhone 14 Pro models will feature under-screen Face ID and a punch-hole for the selfie camera. According to him, The feature is easier to implement than an under-screen camera, though it’s still under development.

But only time will tell whether apple will implement this tech inside the iPhone 14 pro series or not And it could be possible that it will only be implemented inside the pro models. Even the under-display Touch ID isn’t coming inside the iPhone 13 series, maybe it will be introduced with the iPhone 14 series as a secondary biometric option for the pro models and primary biometric option for the standard models.

He also talked about the screen sizes that will be on offer for both pro and standard iPhone 14 series — 6.1-inches and 6.7-inches. We have already seen the how the iPhone 14 pro max will look like.
