Samsung is saying Exynos 2200 will not have thermal issues

Updated: Jan 16, 2022

Samsung is still on its way to unveil its next high-end chip, the Exynos 2200, according to news outlet Business Korea (via TechInsider)

When Samsung announced that next Exynos chipset will feature AMD GPU, expectations touched the roof. According to recent leaks it might not be a big upgrade compared to last year's Exynos 2100, which can be found inside the Galaxy S21 series. According to a recent report the Exynos 2200 is only expected to provide 5 percent CPU performance improvements and 17 percent better graphics, even after using the latest ARM CPU cores and AMD GPU.

There were also some reports that said that the production issues are the reasons, Samsung might equip most of the Galaxy S22 variants with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. We even saw Samsung recently removed all those Jan 11 launch teasers of Exynos 2200 from its social media accounts.

But According to Business Korea, the Exynos 2200 will be introduced alongside the Galaxy S22 series, which is rumored to be announced on February 8. A company official has said that there’s no such production and performance issues and has even assured consumers that thermal throttling problems of the Exynos 2100 have been taken care of.

This time North American and Chinese models off the Galaxy S22 series will get the Qualcomm snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip as usual but the Indian version of the Galaxy S22 will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Which might be good for the indian fans. It surely is odd considering Samsung usually equips the Indian models with its Exynos processors.
