First look at Google's Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 flagship

Updated: Feb 25, 2022

We recently heard news on the Pixel foldable device. We have already heard that the next gen tensor chip from Google will feature again Samsungs Exynos modem. Even though its still 8 months away from getting launched by Google, the Google Pixel 7 lineup pictures which showing the designs are here.

The images of the Pixel 7 come in the form of CAD renders from tipster @xleaks7 with the help of choosebesttech. Leaker

Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks, has revealed the pixel 7 and pixel 7 pro’s press ready renders showing the full design from the front, rear and every sides.

The design overall is very similar to the current-gen Pixels. The Pixel 7 got a major resign in the front. But it will retain three things from the pixel 6, the bottom bezel, the punch hole and the flat display. Side bezels are very thin on the pixel 7 which is a welcome change.

If you look at the Pixel 7 pro it also has very minimal to no design tweaks. From the front it looks to have no changes. Same curvy display, very slim bezels, slight chin and a punch hole.

But there’s at the back the same camera bar, with slight design tweaks. Like this time camera bars on both the phones will seamlessly blend into the frame. Which does look slightly odd from certain angles. Mostly when the frame is differently coloured. But keep this in mind these design might not be 100 percent accurate in terms of finer details. Other than that there might be outline around the camera Sensors inside the camera bar.

The Google Pixel 7 6.1 x 2.8 x 0.3in (155.6 x 73.1 x 8.7mm) could also end up being ever so slightly smaller than the Pixel 6 to 6.24 x 2.94 x 0.35in (158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9mm).

Meanwhile, the 7 Pro's rumored overall 163 x 76.6 x 8.7mm measurements are unsurprisingly nearly identical to the 6 Pro's dimensions just slightly thinner, that means you can expect almost the same screen size and same battery capacity on both the phones.

As fort the screen size, the pixel 7 Pro will have 6.7 and 6.8 inches in diagonal, the Pixel 7 on the other hand might feature 6.4inch or smaller. It’s still unknown what kinda refresh rate will be featured in both the models but the pro model will at least offer 120Hz display.

It still remains to be seen exactly what will the second-gen Tensor SoC offer in terms CPU & GPU. But hopefully it will be able to compete with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Apple's upcoming A16 Bionic at least in terms of performance and efficiency.

This time if Google wants not be ignored, then they have to focus on the software, which definitely needs work as far as both stability and long-term software supports are concerned.
