Galaxy S22 Ultra not feature 200mp camera?
Samsung used 16MP & 12mp cameras on its past flagships then in 2020 they for the first time used 108MP camera on a flagship smartphone. This year the MP county remained the same just new generation of that sensor on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and it looks like this tradition will continue in the next year’s Flagship model The Galaxy S22 Ultra as well.
It was rumored that Samsung could unveil a 200MP ISOCELL camera sensor inside the Galaxy S22 Ultra. According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature the company’s third-generation 108MP camera sensor (ISOCELL HM3).
In one way its for the better. A 200MP sensor would have either made the module huge or even smaller pixels to reduce the module size, resulting in lower light sensitivity and higher noise. Even if the software can fix some of those in photos, in videos even pixel binning doesn’t work, so as of now 108MP is better.
The Galaxy S22 is expected to feature Olympus branding, a sensor-shift stabilization system, and a continuous zoom periscope camera that offers sharp details at all native zoom levels. I will keep an eye on this topic for more.
