Galaxy Tab S8 series and the Galaxy S22 series are high in demand
Updated: Feb 15, 2022

It seems that Samsung may have underestimated the demand of the flagship Galaxy Tab line. Just after the pre-orders started on Wednesday, so many pre-orders came in for the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra that Samsung had to halt pre-orders for those two models in the states. Isn’t it crazy!
On Samsung's website it shows that only the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus can still be pre-ordered and there is no word on when the other two will be made available for pre-order again. In a statement, Samsung told XDA, "We are thrilled by the consumer response to our new Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. Due to the overwhelming demand in the last 48 hours, we will be pausing preorders at Samsung.com for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8. We are working quickly to meet consumer excitement and demand. Please stay tuned for more updates."
Given the current saturated state of the smartphone industry, it may not seem fair to compare the numbers expected from a 2022 Galaxy flagship series with the 2018 Galaxy S9 series or 2019 Galaxy S10 series. even though global smartphone market suffered a major decline in 2020 due to pandemic, 2021 has been a better year, so much so that you can say its very close to 2019 in terms of smartphone shipments.
According to a new report this is Samsung's manufacturing plan for the three new Galaxy Devices:
Galaxy S22 - 12 million units
Galaxy S22 Plus - 8 million units
Galaxy S22 Ultra - 10 million units
Now this figure might even change depending on the upcoming demands over the time.
According to one report, the S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra sales figure was really low in the first 6 months if you compared with the Galaxy S10 series.
Now you might be thinking that why the galaxy S22 will be popular. Well I have a theory, not everyone can afford a $1200 phone that easily so they can settle with a slightly smaller screen that is not even too small and save a good amount of money.
On top of that, this year the Galaxy S22 has hardly that many compromises in terms of overall hardware and features that S21 had compared to top dog of the series. So either way it’s a great choice for most of the people.
And this phone is still having a much larger screen than the iPhone 13 mini or even the poor iPhone 12 mini. People will be pretty happy using this screen as a day-to-day content consumption device.
