So this render courtesy of @evleaks shows us the two upcoming foldable from Samsung but not in their full glory. I mean we can’t see the inside display of the Z Fold 3 that much or the main display of the Flip 3 5G.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in 3 August 2021.We have seen the design and most of the specs.
The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (SM-F926U and SM-F926U1) received the FCC certification earlier today, and the supporting documentation reveals a lot of exciting information. The foldable smartphone features 5G (mmWave and sub-6GHz), 4G LTE, CDMA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and UWB. UWB has been included in the iPhone 12 and galaxy S21 series, so it is logical for Samsung to put this inside this foldable devices as well. Ultra Wideband technology is a radio technology to find precise location, for example Apple AirTag and Samsung SmartTag+ has this tech inside. The tags can be put pretty much anywhere and their batteries last a whole year. It also supports 9W Qi wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Another new feature of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 confirmed by the listing is the support for S-Pen. The FCC certification documents reveal that the device features a digitizer function that operates with the S Pen. However, the S Pen might not come bundled with the device, and it may not have a dedicated slot either to store like the note 21 Ultra. A special case will be offered instead.
Going by previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 features at least 12GB of RAM, 256GB/ 512GB of non-expandable storage, a 7.55-inch inner display, and a 6.21-inch cover display. And this time both display will feature 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of battery, the phone is expected to feature a 4,380mAh battery cell with 25W charging.
The phone could feature a 16MP under-display camera below the internal foldable display, a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display, and a 12MP+12MP+12MP triple-camera setup at the rear.
