Galaxy Z Fold 5 might be cheaper but..
Updated: Jun 30
According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 5's visual improvements over the Fold 4 are very little. However, Samsung may make the Fold 5 just bit more cheaper. With a starting price of $1,799.99, the Fold 4 is really expensive. And now there's also the Pixel Fold at $1,799. Samsung has made the decision to reduce the cost of the Fold 5 in order to not make people switch to the pixel fold, according to Twitter leaker @Tech_Reve.
According to other reports, the Fold 5 will have a redesigned hinge, which will provide dust resistance aside from the water resistance. Despite using a water drop hinge, the Fold 5's primary screen crease is still far more noticeable than on Chinese folding phones, according to reliable leaker Ice Universe. According to the tipster, the prominence of the crease has only diminished by a about 15%. This is slightly disappointing that the Fold 5's crease could not be reduced, even though it may not be a deal breaker for everyone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 can fold into a variety of orientations thanks to internal hinges called Flex mode, which enables many apps like youtube or camera app to take advantage of this and shifts information to the top half of the display and controls to the bottom half. According to @Tech_Reve, the 2022 models operate the free stop feature more smoothly than the Fold 5 and Flip 5. but it's still unknown how much it will affect this or is there anything Samsung gonna do about it.. Anyway the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be powered by a specially designed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that will likely improve performance while also extending battery life. Which should offer performance improvements of 19%, 25%, and 30% for the CPU, GPU, and NPU, respectively.
@Tech_Reve also claims that the Flip 5 and Fold 5 will feature outstanding software. We've previously heard rumours that the Flip 5 will support the Dex mode and complete versions of well-known applications will run on big cover screen. Similar to the current Galaxy Z Fold 4, the 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will boast a 1-120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of brightness. Although the brightness of the cover screen (6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 48-120Hz) and other specifications are unknown, they do not appear to have changed. The camera setup appears to remain unaltered as well. According to reports, the main system consists of a 12MP ultra-wide, a 10MP telephoto, and a 50MP primary camera. Then, a 10MP selfie sensor is included into the cover screen, and a 4MP under-display camera is hidden by the foldable panel. Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Fold 5 should be powered by a 4,400mAh twin battery with 25W charging. Source: @Tech_Reve Ice Universe @AhmedQwaider888 @Tech_Reve mysmartprice
