iPhone 15 will have a better camera than iPhone 15 Pro Max but..
Updated: Sep 11

As the launch of the iPhone 15 series draws near, leaked images provide a glimpse into the anticipated design changes of the iPhone 15 Pro. The leaked image, shared by a South Korean leaker on Naver, showcases the device's slimmer bezels, giving it a more refined and modern appearance compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro. These leaked images align with previous rumors regarding the use of low-injection pressure over-molding (LIPO) technology to reduce bezel thickness from 2.2 millimeters to a sleek 1.5 millimeters.

Additionally, the leaked image suggests that the bezels of the iPhone 15 Pro might have curved edges, enhancing the phone's aesthetic appeal. While the image only showcases the screen, previous rumors indicate that the iPhone 15 Pro will have a flat display with curved bezels because the titanium frame is also going to have less sharp corner for more comfortability.
The dynamic island isn't gonna be exclusive this year for the pro models. it will come to all the iPhone 15 models but the both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still come with thicker bezels like the iPhone 14 pro models and it will be a 60Hz panel.
In addition to slimmer bezels the iPhone 15 Pro will have a titanium frame, replacing the stainless steel chassis of its predecessor. The use of titanium not only offers increased durability but also reduces the device's weight. It will also reduce the visibility of the fingerprints. We might also see matte paint on the frame because of this reason. Furthermore, the back glass of the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have rounded edges, providing a more comfortable grip. Exclusive to the Pro models, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max may introduce a programmable Action button, replacing the traditional mute switch. Users may be able to customize and assign nine different options to the Action button, including Accessibility, Shortcuts, Silent Mode, Camera, Flashlight, Focus, Magnifier, Translate, and Voice Memos. Additionally, the devices could feature a USB-C port, departing from the proprietary Lightning port seen in previous iPhone models. Even though we are hearing that only the pro models will have Thunderbolt USB C Ports but the standard phones will come with USB 2.0 USB C port with much slower data transfer speeds.
The whole iPhone 15 models will also see some major improvements in the camera departments too. According to reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus' primary camera might be better than the iPhone 15 Pro's main shooter even though it's a smaller sensor with same MP. He says that the base iPhone 15 models will employ a new stacked CIS design and the Pro won't get it until next year.
One of the possible explanations for why the complete lineup won't get the new technology is that Sony is encountering production problems. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may be the better camera phone theoretically due to its three-stacked sensor which collects more light than the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 pro max's for higher-quality photographs.
Nevertheless, only the Pro models will include telephoto cameras, and the Pro Max is anticipated to have a periscope device with a 6x magnifying capability. Along with having a bigger 1/1.28" 48MP camera than the iPhone 15's 1/1.5" 48MP camera, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max may also gonna have better ISP inside thanks to the the pro model exclusive A17 bionic and exclusive pro features like pro-res video and all that to balance out any benefits the lower models may have over the Pros.
Multiple sources indicate that the iPhone 15 announcement event will likely take place on Wednesday, September 13. Mobile carriers have instructed employees not to take time off on that day, suggesting a significant smartphone announcement. Pre-orders for the iPhone 15 may commence on Friday, September 15, with the devices expected to be available for purchase on September 22, approximately a week later than the iPhone 14 series release in 2022.
