Pixel 6a renders are here: looks like a Pixel 6
Updated: Nov 21, 2021
Courtesy of Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) and 91mobiles we have our first look at the renders of Google's next mid-tier smartphone, the Pixel 6a. It was only a month ago that Google launched its much hyped flagships, the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Now, in early 2022, we can expect Google to launch its next budget pixel which will replace the pixel 5a.
If you look at the renders it is clear that the handset resembles the standard Pixel 6 model. I don’t need to say how beautiful that is. The squarish camera bump of the current Pixel 5a has been replaced by a camera bar, now a part of pixel design language which houses a dual-camera setup. Currently the camera specs are not known but maybe two 12 MP cameras. It’s also pretty much visible that it will also feature two tone color options. Maybe just these two colours only.
If the pixel 6a will feature this design and good price tag i can definitely say it will win people’s heart like crazy and this model should arrive in more countries globally.
The Pixel 6a will apparently feature a 6.2-inches flat OLED panel with a centered punch hole just like the big brothers. It will also come with under display finger print scanner. The phone has dimensions of 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm, meaning it's more compact than the Pixel 6 and i think its the best size for most people. Now the last thing is it will ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. So you will need to buy USB-C headphones or Bluetooth headphones if you buy this phone.
The processor is still a secret though. Maybe the same tensor chipset or watered down variant of the tensor chipset that is powering the bigger Pixel 6 pro or maybe totally different chips like snapdragon. We will have to wait for that.
