Update: 9to5Google have found evidence that the Pixel 6a will not feature the 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor that you can find inside the Pixel 6 as well. Rather, this phone will feature the same 12.2MP Sony IMX363 unit that Google has used in every handset from the Pixel 3 through the Pixel 5a.
Other camera sensors will be Sony's IMX386 sensor for the ultrawide and the 8MP Sony IMX355 for the selfie camera.
After the launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google is preparing the upcoming mid-ranger the Pixel 6a.
The Mid-Range Pixel will come with a Flat 6.2" 1080p OLED display. Google should also provide at least 90Hz refresh rate. In the last news I told you the processor was a secret, its now here, a Snapdragon 778G chipset with 5G connectivity and I speculated that it will have a 12MP camera setup but Rather it will have a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor as the main camera which will also justify the Camera Bump. The leakster confirmed the compact 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm dimension.
We have already seen the bezels which look really thin even compared to the pixel 6. This phone is actually very stunning and follows the recent pixel look.
The best part is that all these new gen pixels will feature the same main camera. Which is really great.
But I’m a slightly disappointed that google will use snapdragon chip instead of In-house Tensor SoC. I was expecting them to use a watered down variant of the Tensor chip. Cause using a snapdragon chip will also affect the numbers of software updates that the device will get aside from the tensor chip’s usual advantages like optimization and AI capabilities. Anyway it will still be interesting to the see device competing with various other good mid-rangers. Google still have enough time to cook.
