Apple might include a periscope Zoom camera in iPhones after all
One thing that i like yet dislike about Apple is that they are slow in terms of bringing features to the market but when they do they do it the best way most of the time. The best example would be the one feature that is one of the key features of the iPhone 13 Pro models, the 120Hz OLED panel.
This feature isn’t new if you look at the android world or probably pretty old. But apple did it the most efficient way possible and so much so that it barely affects the battery life. And most of the time the screen sticks to higher refresh rate so you get best of the both worlds which isn’t the case in the android world.
But today’s news isn’t about iPhone’s just another feature, it is about the iPhone’s camera system. Apple has drastically improved its camera system with the launch of the iPhone 11 series. But for a few years now, Apple has been using 2x, 3X kinda telephoto cameras in its pro/plus models.
According to The Elec, Apple has chosen Jahwa Electronics, based in South Korea as the supplier for the periscope camera equipment. Previously, analysts Ming-Chi Kuo said that 2022 iPhone 14 pro models would feature periscope zoom system. But now Kuo is claiming that this will happen in 2023 with the iPhone 15 Pro models.
