BIG NEWS: Galaxy S22 models will not ship with a Exynos Chip with AMD GPU globally but!

We are hearing a lot of news about the next Galaxy Flagship, the Galaxy S22 series According to LetsGoDigital, ex-Samsung employee turned whistleblower Super Roader saying Samsung might be planning to equip all Galaxy S22 devices globally with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset and skip using the much hyped Exynos 2200 with AMD.

If this happens then this will be a “first” for Samsung, which usually launches Galaxy Flagships globally powered by it’s own Exynos chipsets aside from few markets like US and China where the device is powered by Qualcomm chipset. For example, the current model, Galaxy S21 lineup comes with the Snapdragon 888 chip in the markets like US, Canada, China, Japan and everywhere else its powered by the Exynos 2100 chipset.

The upcoming Snapdragon 898 announcement has been scheduled for November 30, we also saw the whole specs of the upcoming chipset. The chip uses the same 1-3-4 three-cluster architecture as its predecessor, the snapdragon 888.

But Why No Exynos this year? The reason for this is the global chip shortage which is affecting the industry since the pandemic. And on top of that according to Super Roader, manufacturing the Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU chipset has proven to be quite challenging for Samsung and there’s simply wouldn't be enough chips manufactured in time for the Galaxy S22's release which is also leaked recently.

But according to famous tipster @IceUniverse, some regions will still get the Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU version of the Galaxy S22. “I got the new news that Exynos2200 still exists in Galaxy S22 Series in some countries and regions,” .

Why that’s a big deal this year? The upcoming Exynos 2200 will feature AMD GPU with RDNA-2 architecture and ray-tracing capabilities. Which according to many past rumours will be really capable chipset or might be game changing. But still whether or not it will be on par with Snapdragon 898 in terms of performance, a little too early to say anything. Cause these two chips will be almost identical in terms of CPU with differences like clock speed. The biggest diffeentiator would be the GPU. Exynos will come with AMD GPU and the snapdragon with all new Adreno 730. This is probably the biggest surprise of these two chips.
