We have already heard in the past about the Galaxy S22 series launch date. Now, a new report from Korean publication DDaily has confirmed the information and revealed the launch date, pre-order and release dates.

According to them Samsung will announce the Galaxy S22 on February 8, 2022 and the flagship phones will be available for pre-order on February 9. Samsung will reportedly start shipping pre-orders on February 21, and the devices will be available in stores beginning February 24.

It is worth pointing out that the "regular-sized" S22 is expected to squeeze its 3,700mAh battery into a more compact body than the S21 with a smaller than 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S22+ with 4500mAh battery will have a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED display but both of the phones will feature Full HD+ screen resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and razor thin bezels. But this year between these two devices, only the Galaxy S22+’s screen will be able to go as bright as 1,700 nits.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra on the other hand is expected to have a curvy 6.8-inch LTPO Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are expected to feature a triple camera setup, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and two 10MP telephoto sensors one with 10x and one with 3x zoom capabilities. The front camera is going to be 40MP.

All of these models will be powered by the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in US, china etc. and upcoming Exynos 2200 SoC with AMD GPU in other markets.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ could be available in Beige, Black, Green, Light Blue, Rose Gold, and White. The Galaxy S22 Ultra could be launched in Black, Burgundy Red, Green, and White color variants.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ could have 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The Galaxy S22 Ultra on the other hand could have 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage options. But all the storage options of the Galaxy S22 Ultra might not come to most markets.
