Google Pixel 5 is already discontinued

Last year's Google flagship Pixel 5 went on sale in October 2020, its not even a year old but its

already discontinued. According to The Verge a Google spokesperson has confirmed pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will be available till the stock lasts.

Now if you still want the pixel 5, you can get the same phone at far lesser price, its called the pixel 5a, has the same Snapdragon 765G 5G processor, identical camera setup, a way bigger 4600mAh battery, IP67 dust & water resistance and slightly bigger screen. So it seems right for google to discontinue the old pixel 5 and 4a 5G now.

The Pixel 4a with snapdragon 730 will be sold until we get a replacement of it. Its still one of the best selling pixel till today.

But hey, we all are waiting for Pixel 6 and 6 pro powered by the Google’s in-house Tensor SoC. It will be a massive step towards the future google smartphones.
