iPhone 14 models will not feature upgraded SoC: Kuo

We recently saw a tonnes of leaks suggesting that we will see a massive redesign with the launch of iPhones 14 Pro models maybe also a better camera system. But Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, has posted some new iPhone 14 series specs.

First, there will be no mini model this year. The iPhone 14 models will have four models, a 6.1-inches iPhone 14, a 6.7-inches iPhone 14 Max(new addition), a 6.1-inches iPhone 14 Pro, and a 6.7-inches iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to past rumors, the Pro models will feature a dual pill and hole cutout design while the standard models will feature same notch as current iPhone 13 models. The 14 pro models will offer a 48MP main camera instead of a 12MP camera.

Next thing according to Kuo, apple is said to be working on a new 4nm A16 Bionic processor which will definitely be faster and much more powerful compared to the A15 chip, you can find inside the iPhone 13 series. But the biggest news is this chip will be exclusive to the pro models and the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will have with the current A15 Bionic, which is not slow either.

He also says that all four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, but the Pro models will get the faster LPDDR 5 RAM instead of the LPDDR 4X RAM on the standard models.

Surely the pro models will feature LTPO tech just like iPhone 13 pros. But whether the standard models will get 120Hz screens or not is still unknown.

The Pro models will also get a new titanium alloy chassis instead of stainless steel. Which will make them more durable and premium. So now it looks like apple is trying to differentiate the pro models from the standard models by a lot unlike past models. But its disappoint to see that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be a slightly upgraded from the iPhone 13 series, even though the iPhone 14 Max will be a new addition to the family.
