Google has been promoting its upcoming phones like crazy. We all know it will be powered by Google's own custom SoC Tensor Chip, which according to past leaks is developed in collaboration with Samsung using its own 5nm process.
But don't think it will be identical to most other android flagship chip. It will feature a totally different configuration. It's 2+2+4 configuration rather than competitors' typical configuration 1+3+4.
As for the primary core, Instead of adopting one ARM's latest Cortex X2, Google has picked two cortex X1 core from last year clocked at 2.8GHz.
There are two performence cores clocked at 2.25Ghz, and fourhigh efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
We have already seen this chip's performence on Geekbench. But this time It managed 1,034 points in the single-core test, and 2,756 in the multi-core test.
That's huge improvement over the last result (414 single core and 2,074 multi core), now for reference the current flagship chip Snapdragon 888 usually has 3500 points in muticore tests. But the single core score of Tensor SoC is slightly behind the Snapdragon 888.
Now you can't take this exact scores for granted cause the final variant might have better performence through better optimisation or may get throttled. October 19 is the date for final reveal.
The Pixel 6 will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support. As for the RAM and Storage 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage as base option. At the back it will have a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP Ultra-wide snapper with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. As for the battery 4614 mAh cell will power the device.
The Pixel 6 Pro on the other hand will feature a 6.7-inch display with a 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This phone will add a third 48MP telephoto camera the camera setup of the standard pixel 6 which will support 4X optical zoom. But this pro phone will feature a 5000mAh battery, the largest battery cell ever seen inside any pixel phones to date.
The Pixel 6 Pro is expected to have 12GB of RAM along with 128GB of storage.
Recent leaks saying the base Pixel 6 model will go for $749 and the Pro will start around $1100 (€899 in Europe).
