MediaTek Dimensity 9000 benchmark results are here: Exciting!
MediaTek is the number one smartphone chip vendor by volume, their recently launched flagship chip is the Dimensity 9000. Now we have some benchmark results via Sparrows News.
I know Synthetic tests are just one part of what makes a good SoC but still it’s a good way to get an overall idea of what the performance will look like on a consumer devices.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000 benchmark results at a glance:
Geekbench single-core: 1,237
Geekbench multi-core: 4,324
PCmark Work 3.0: 17,573
GFX Manhattan 3.0: 238 FPS
GFX Manhattan 3.1: 162 FPS
GFX Aztec 1440p Vulkan: 43 FPS
GFX Aztec 1440p OpenGL: 42 FPS
ETHZ AI v5: 1024
The SoC is arranged in a 1+3+4 setup. In addition to that single Cortex-X2 “primary core”, it has a cluster of 3X “super cores” Cortex-A710 clocked at up to 2.85Ghz, and a cluster of 4 efficiency Cortex A510 cores clocked at 1.8Ghz. The chipset will support LPDDR5x RAM speeds of up to 7500Mbps in smartphones. It also has 14MB of cache, which Mediatek says improves performance by 7%. For graphics, there’s a new Mali-G710 GPU with 10-cores.
The Dimensity 9000’s ISP can capture 4K HDR video from three cameras simultaneously. it can process a total of 270 frames per second to output 18-bit 4K HDR video. The ISP also supports camera sensors of up to 320MP.
Honor, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are expected to reveal phones with MediaTek's latest flagship SoC early next year and it will surely be exciting to see the upcoming competition.
