North America isn’t getting the top most variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra model

Samsung is all set to formally unveil the Galaxy S22 series this Wednesday, which includes three models: Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will come in both 8GB and 16GB of RAM options. There were many rumours saying that it will have a 1TB storage variant aside from 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants.

Now a document sourced from a South Korean telecommunication company by leaker lanzuk (via @sondesix) is showing that a 1TB variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is going to be made available but for few selected regions only.

At least in Korea, this option will only be available for unlocked models. According to tipster Ice Universe the 1TB model will also be available in China.

Previously leaker Roland Quandt had said that it would only be sold in a few regions. That’s more or less indicating that the 1TB Galaxy S22 Ultra model will not be available in the US.

Aside from having a Galaxy Note design and S Pen slot the productivity centric Galaxy S22 Ultra will also feature 8K video recording which is definitely very demanding in terms of storage space. If that’s not enough, this device will also miss out on microSD slot for storage expansion. All of these further increases the need for a 1TB model. But it will still be interesting to see whether or not Samsung will offer this 1TB storage variant in more markets.
