Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will feature something that even the iPhone 12 Pro Max doesn’t

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

Even though Google announced how the pixel 6 and 6 pro will look like and and they also showed us a glimpse of their custom SoC. They haven’t provided any specs at all.

But now thanks to 91mobiles we have some new infos about these two devices.

The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are expected to support 33W wired charging capabilities, which isn’t that much of a huge number compared to what other Chinese competitors are doing right now. But it’s massive upgrade compared to the Pixel 5 and 5a, both of which support only 18W speeds. For a context iPhones support as high as 20W.

But hey keep this in mind Google is trying to compete with Apple so it might not come with any brick in the box at all. So to get that amazing charging speed, you'll need to separately purchase an adapter, maybe Google will sell one as well just like every other brand does or somewhere in the future if not at the time of launch.

Overall, this shows that Google is serious about smartphones.

Not just that Google is also rumoured to release foldable pixel smartphone by the end of this year. But because we are not getting any big news regarding that, I can just say it will come somewhere around next year considering it will be their first step into the most complex smartphone hardware right now. So they will take their sweet time.

But ya being Google, it's still possible that they will offer a preview of some sort at the Pixel 6 launch event.

The Pixel Fold will most likely be powered by the Tensor chipset, definitely some cool cameras, and 120Hz refresh rate technology. But we have to wait for more on that.
