Samsung Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU beats latest iPhone chip: leak

We have heard in the past that Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU will be on par with the Apple A14 Bionic chip. Thanks to leaker Tron we can see it again.

This Samsung AMD GPU benchmark test was conducted in June. The test results are like this

  • Manhattan 3.1: 170.7 Fps

  • Aztec Normal: 121.4 Fps

  • Aztec High: 51.5 Fps

Past Benchmark results are like this

  • Manhattan 3.1: 181.8 Fps

  • Aztec Normal: 138.25 Fps

  • Aztec High: 58 Fps

So from the past reports and this new leak we can say Samsung has probably throttled performance to prevent overheating issues.

For a context here are the results for the A14-powered iPhone 12 Pro from GFXBench:

  • Manhattan 3.1: 146.4 Fps

  • Aztec Normal: 109.2 Fps

  • Aztec High: 39.9 Fps

Even though its great to see but keep this in mind the iPhone 13 pro with Apple A15 Bionic is few days away from getting launched, this chip is going to be way better compared to the A14. On top of that, Samsung might throttle the performance of its chip further. But still its great to see how this chip is way better compared to exynos 2100.

Probably the biggest job it has to do is to beat the Snapdragon 898. That’s it.
