The Galaxy S21 FE 5G is definitely coming soon but why so late?

Updated: Sep 25, 2021

Galaxy S21 FE was expected to go official alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 5G on August 11 but due to some production issues, this phone is still not launched.

According to 9To5Google, google mentioned the unreleased phone by its full name on the ARCore website yesterday, it’s removed after some time but it’s confirmed that the phone is coming any day now.

According to Max Jambor, Samsung has only been able to manufacture "roughly" 10,000 of the galaxy s21 fe "this month", which is very little in amount if you consider how much of Galaxy S20fe units sold last year.

There still plenty of time left for Samsung to ramp up production ahead of a rumored October 29 release, but that means there’s tonnes of issues that Samsung has to fix. Even though we have reports saying global chip shortage is the reason why Galaxy S21 FE got delayed, But I think the unexpected success of Samsung's latest foldables might be the reason why it’s getting delayed.

The phone will have a 6.4-inches screen with 120Hz support, a 32MP selfie camera, three rear shooters, 12MP main, a 12MP ultrawide and a 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, and a 4,370mAh battery with 45watt fast charging support. The phone will have an in-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

The phone will come with at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage option and a MicroSD slot. As for the colour option it will be available in White, Green, black, Violet.

The device will allegedly cost less than the Galaxy S20 FE, which launched for $699. So it might just be the best value for money android phone of this year.
