Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Details are Here!

This year, the San Diego-based chip manufacturer will conduct its Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Hawaii from October 24 through the 26. This is almost three weeks sooner than it did last year, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. The Xiaomi Mi 14 series, the Vivo X100 series, the iQOO 12 series, the Redmi K70 series, the OnePlus 12 and the Realme GT5 are among the devices are gonna be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. In contrast to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2's 1+4+3 configuration, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is anticipated to have a 1+5+2 arrangement.

One Cortex-X4 primary CPU core, five Cortex-A720 performance CPU cores, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency CPU cores should all be present on the new chip. There will be an Adreno 750 GPU installed. The new chip will have one more performance core and one fewer efficiency core than the older one, which makes up the gap between the two.

Arm says that the G720 GPU increases performance by 15% while using 40% less memory bandwidth. The Cortex-X4 delivers a 15% increase in performance compared with the previous generation's Cortex-X3 high-performance CPU core. The Cortex-A720 cores are 20% more efficient than the Cortex-A715.

It's interesting to note that while Samsung used the Snapdragon for Galaxy to power all of its flagship Galaxy S23 series devices, there has been speculation that the Galaxy S24 series devices will operate in most of the world on a 10-core Exynos 2400 SoC, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 being used in devices shipped to the the United States, Canada, and China. The N4P (4nm) manufacturing node used by TSMC to manufacture the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is anticipated.
