Redesigned iPad mini 6 leaks with iPad Pro-like design, USB-C, Touch-ID

The last refresh happened in 2019 that involved a new chipset and Apple Pencil support, the iPad mini has been almost felt like neglected since 2015. Now that is about to change drastically.

The iPad mini 6 is basically gonna be a small iPad Pro or iPad Air 4.

Jon Prosser has published renders of the upcoming iPad mini 6, based on a combination of CAD files, few schematics, and even hands-on photos of the upcoming Apple tablet.

The images show off an iPad Pro 2018 like design with an aluminum build and a single camera in the top-left corner at the rear. The front, on the other hand, featuring an all-screen symmetrical bezel design.

Apple isn’t gonna provide face ID rather Touch ID will be there, integrated on the power button like the iPad Air. The design language is something what a report from Mark Gurman matches perfectly.

Other features include a USB-C rather than Lightning, The speakers are said to have been improved as well. Prosser says the audio experience is “crazy nice”, which is gonna be interesting and the iPad mini 6 will measure in at 206.3mm x 137.8mm x 6.1mm, the thinness is exactly same as iPad mini 5.

The iPad mini 6 will reportedly be available in Silver, Space Gray/Graphite, and Gold. IPad Air colour? Should come.

The iPad mini 6 is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7.

There's no word on the price at the moment, but it will sit between iPad Air and base iPad. You can guess then..
