Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 benchmark and battery capacity is here
Updated: May 23, 2022

Even though we still have to wait for Samsung's next big Unpacked event, but we have more new things about the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Of course, these aren’t at all final consumer grade devices, so they aren’t final benchmark results but a freshly revealed benchmark shows the overall performance we can expect from the device and which chipset it will offer.

We can see the SM-F721U model number and its octa-core CPU which has four cluster clocked at 1.8 GHz, three 2.75 GHz cores, and a primary core clocked at 3.19 GHz, this ARM-based SoC clearly is a better setup than the 1.7 + 2.4 + 3 GHz configuration of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found inside the S22 Ultra and other flagship android devices. So most notable guess can be it’s the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a slightly upgraded version of the flagship 8 Gen 1.
At if you look at the official specs of the snapdragon 8+ gen 1 — Prime core at 3.2GHz, Gold cores at 2.75Ghz, Silver cores at 2.0GHz. This is up from 3.0GHz, 2.5GHz and 1.8GHz, respectively, which looks minor of an improvement. But Qualcomm is claiming that it will offer huge improvements in efficiency thanks to the manufacturer TSMC.
According to Qualcomm here are the performance improvements of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 1:
10% faster CPU and GPU
30% improved power efficiency (CPU and GPU)
20% better performance per watt from the AI engine
The Z Flip 4 design and few other things have leaked, you can check out my previous video for that.
Official information for the 3C certification has confirmed that the next Flip will have a dual battery, with a total capacity of 3595mAh – about 10% larger compared to the Z Flip 3’s one.
The first module will have a capacity of 1040mAh, while the second will have a capacity of 2555mAh. So even though it will not be as drastic improvement as we recently heard but it’s a good small step in the right direction.
