Samsung is ditching the Exynos Chip for the Galaxy S23? More confusions
Updated: Jun 5, 2022

Samsung’s current Flagship Exynos SoC was prone to overheating and worst battery life.
Recently we heard that Samsung may not even equip its 2023 and 2024 Galaxy flagships with its own Exynos chips globally.
But then leaker Roland Quandt said the opposite. According to him it looked like the Galaxy S23 will be powered by Exynos 2300 in some markets just like every year.
Usually U.S., Canada, Taiwan, and China are only few markets where Galaxy Flagships are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. But it is pretty much obvious that Samsung is trying hard to bring a Galaxy Flagship powered by a custom SoC to fight the criticism.
According to Naver (via SamMobile) Samsung would dedicate the next two years to designing custom chips instead of manufacturing them. Then leaker Roland Quandt talked about the existence of Exynos 2200's successor, although he did note at that time that this was based on two month old information. So it might be that Samsung has changed their plan.
Recently tipster GaryeonHan hinted that Samsung is not going to manufacture a flagship Exynos chip this year. Then Leakers @chunvn8888 and Yogesh Brar also tweeted about the Exynos 2300. They said Samsung is working on the Exynos 2300 but it might not even come inside the Galaxy S23 model.
If you don’t know, Samsung's upcoming flagships, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4, will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, there won’t be any Exynos 2200 variant. These two models will arrive in August.
