Samsung might make a 1TB storage variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra
Updated: Jan 15, 2022
According to SamMobile, earlier reports which has claimed that storage of the Galaxy S22 Ultra would max out at 512GB are not true because the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have 1TB of internal storage variant, which looks perfect if you see that this would be the actual successor to the productivity-oriented Galaxy Note series.
This isn’t the first time any Samsung will have a 1TB flagship phone. In 2019 Galaxy S10 Plus was the first one to come with 1TB of storage and it even had a microSD slot for an additional 512GB. But sadly The Galaxy S22 Ultra is unlikely to have that option.
There’re few reasons why Samsung may be bringing back the 1TB storage option. If you don’t know Apple's latest pro iPhones offers up to 1TB of storage as well so that could be one reason, the second one could be that the phone will have useable 8K video capturing capabilities which requires a lot storage space.
The 1TB version will offer 16GB of RAM, and per previous reports, if you don’t need that much storage you will have options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models which will come with at least 12GB of RAM. Keep this in mind the 1TB storage option might be priced around $1600. But that’s a speculation at this point.
As for the design and build, this boxy glass sandwich Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a dedicated slot for the S Pen stylus at the bottom and it's also rumored to have impressive camera capabilities thanks to AI and it’s improved 108MP main camera and two dedicated zoom cameras. The device will be able to shoot 8K 30fps videos from it’s main camera.
So with 1TB storage option, flagship power thanks to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, S-Pen stylus and AI Powered 108MP camera setup and beefy battery, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is surely going to be one of the best devices of 2022 or probably the best.
The Galaxy S22 series will be unveiled in February 2022 and will go on sale the same month.
