Some Google Pixel phones have excessive battery drain after June update

Every three months, Google releases a new feature drop for its Pixel phones. Google released a number of new features with the June 2023 Feature Drop, including cinematic backgrounds, updates to its Recorder app, and emoji wallpapers. Unfortunately, the most current release appears to include undesired energy drain and overheating difficulties, as has been the case with many Pixel upgrades in recent years.
Several Pixel owners on Reddit complain about their phones' high battery consumption and mobile network connection troubles with the June update. Because of the severe battery loss, users often need to charge their phones twice a day to make sure they can use them till bedtime. The flagship Snapdragon SoCs from Qualcomm are more energy-efficient than the Tensor processors used inside the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series. Users have reported rapid and frequent signal dropouts on their Pixels when it comes to connectivity concerns. Restarting the phone at least once a day is the current fix that appears to be effective in preventing these issues. The energy loss and overheating problems with the June 2023 update are undoubtedly less common than some of the earlier faults. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do if your Pixel's battery life has declined since the June build other than wait for Google to address it with a server-side change or a new update.
