Upcoming 5G Nokia smartphone might pack 108MP camera, new Qualcomm chipset

Nokia X50 concept by JoinTheAvid

Nokia isn’t done with the big launches this year, they have started a massive change in Their strategy towards the market even though the newest launches are nothing. Extraordinary but it will take some time until the next wave of smartphones will be unveiled. best phones are reserved for the second half.

Previous rumors suggested that a Nokia 8.3 5G successor is already in the works, I called it 8.4 5G but not much was known about the device.

Although it won’t be tagged as a flagship, you can call it value flagship. the Nokia 8.4 5G is expected to pack an amazing 108-megapixel main camera with Zeiss optics and OZO audio technology. Most probably the latest Samsung sensor.

The Penta-cam setup on Nokia 8.4 5G may pack an ultra-wide, depth, macro and telephoto sensors alongside the main sensor.

Talking about the processor, the smartphone will include an all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G processor, a good upgrade over the Snapdragon 765G chipset which is literally everywhere.

The rest of the phone’s rumored specs are impressive: a 6.5-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, yes the first Nokia to have a high refresh rate display.

and a massive 6,000 mAh battery (possibly with some kinda fast charging not that 18watt). The name of the phone remains a mystery as of now. This smartphone may be named differently now (Nokia X50 probably), given the change in Nokia naming convention.

an official announcement for Nokia X50 is expected in the second half of 2021, probably in Q3 IFA or in HMD fashion q4.
