YouTube to make it easier to monetize in 2023

In order to provide creators access to monetization tools through the YouTube Partner Programme (YPP), YouTube is lowering the restrictions. The Google-owned business stated that the following are the new requirements to qualify for the partner programme:
500 subscribers,
3 recent public uploads in the most recent 90 days,
3,000 watch hours in the last year, either 3 million Shorts views.
Before, the circumstances were:
4,000 watch hours in the last year, at least 1,000 subscribers,
or 10 million shorts views in the last 90 days.
In order to use tools for tipping like Super Thanks, Super Chat, and Super Stickers or to market their own merchandise with YouTube Shopping, creators must hit the new level. If they do, they may apply to join YPP.
This new qualifying standard is being used by YouTube in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea. Later, it will expand to additional nations where YPP is offered.
"Now we’re expanding the program by introducing earlier access to YPP with lower eligibility criteria that will help you start earning on YouTube sooner by opening up access to fan funding features like channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks, and more."
" As these creators continue to grow their channel, they’ll automatically become eligible to earn revenue sharing from ads and even more benefits once they reach the existing YPP eligibility criteria, without having to go through the full YPP application process again."
YouTube began paying creators a portion of the Shorts ad income in February as well. Shorts now has 50 billion daily views, the business reported during its Q4 2022 earnings conference. Reels have 140 billion daily views on Facebook and Instagram, according to Meta's report from last October. YouTube also introduced Creator Music last year as a platform for musicians to get paid for using their music in videos.
